over which is this: it's great to be old as long as you don't exhibit any of the typical problems of of old age. and old age, also, has been very much redefined in the terms of young old age which sociologists and doctors call people in their 60s and 70s who are basically pretty healthy even if they've had all kinds of diseases like cancer and heart disease and old old age in the late 80s and 90s. the typical problems of people in old old age are down played as if 90, well, i decided to write this book when i went to a panel at the world science festival a few years ago titled "90 is the new 50th." and i thought, does anybody really believe that? and the answer is there are a lot of people in their 40s, 50s and 60s who do believe that. it's a new kind of more subtle form of ageism in that it's great to be old, as long as you don't have any of the typical problems of people who are really old. .. >> guest: they are deluded. >> host: use it to overwhelming problems of old, old age our health and working overtime which is inevitable and the tendency for most people to get more. you s

of these facilities. first, just looking at what we are talking about are fairly old facilities. millbrae yard was established in 1900. we have 200 employees there. sunol yard also dates prior to 1900. it accommodates 30 employees on the east bay side. the moccasin compound was established in the 1920's. you have about 200 employees. between these and the least basin, this is the place where over half the water department works. the of the core of where our operation is outside of san francisco. we have a number of drivers for the upgrades we are talking about here. modernization of these facilities -- a lot of them are very old facilities. and consolidation of staff into the right places. we have looked at where we should move stuff around. safety and efficiency considerations are also a big piece of this, trying to make sure our folks are working in modern, say, efficient facilities. some of you have been to them. some of you have not. this is a photograph of millbrae yard, looking toward the yard. it is set well back from the street and is a fairly large complex there. this is an aerial vie

program. this was for a 11th and trope grader12th graders, t0 year-old jumped off at the south tower. it's the 17 year-old teenager jumped. with a 32-40 students and to teachers. the core program. there were two teachers, the college curriculum taught on high school level advanced placement on english, math. when the 17 year-old chomped off the bridge the c h p said he had no injuries when a-jump off the bridge. he was able to swim to shore with the help of a surfer. >> did anybody see him go over? the witness did see him go over. >>reporter: the 17 year-old was taken to san francisco general hospital and. the c h p is investigating why he jumped. was this a suicide attempt? was this a hoax? jump? there were statements made by witnesses and the students that for all of the bridge are saying that he jumped as some part of a joke or a hoax. and to water 20 ft.! that is how far he fell from the golden gate bridge 220 ft.. the golden feet district spokesperson as saying that it is very rare for somebody to survive and as those with only just bombs and bruises. they're speaking to e

moccasin reservoir. the dominant feature there is the old power house, the brick- colored building to the center right of the photograph. to the left is the current administration building. to the far left is the old power -- is the new powerhouse. these are vintage facilities. the old power house was built in the 30's. the new power house was built in the '60s. this is a quick over head of the existing moccasin facilities. this was the original company town there. there are lots of buildings spread over this area. the ones that are labeled are part of the operation. there are many smaller buildings that are not labeled. those are cottages that in some cases are rented out to employees and in some cases are empty. the ec and number of powerhouse facilities, a number of shops on the lower part, surveyors, artie -- rt, engineers, and other things in this area. our objectives are office space consolidation. the we are looking at reuse of the old power house. this is an issue we talked about in the budget. this has been sitting there for a long time. there have been desires to do somet
